this is what you didn't know about former Uganda President Id Amin DADA




Idi Amin Dada was a Ugandan President from 1971 to 1979. he was born in 1923 in koboko town in the north of Uganda. he came to power by military coup.  in 1971 Milton Obote who was the president during that time went to Singapore for a state visit, Amin Dada took control of the capital city  and the airport and declared himself on national radio as the new leader.

during Idi Amin regime lots of people went from exile and many others lost their lives. in 1979 Amin made a mistake and invade neighboring Tanzania, and Tanzania declared war against Uganda.

after a long fight the Tanzania army took over the capital of Uganda Kampala and it was the end of the war.  IDI Amin fled in exile to Libya but he later moved to Saudi Arabia where he died on 16 August 2003.
